Dale Bunkers established Bunkers Feed & Supply Inc. in Granville, IA in March of 1961 as an agricultural supply business and began selling livestock feeds and feeding equipment as well as fertilizer. BF&S has grown into a full service grain elevator over45 years of operation. A diversified blend of ag products and services are marketed at BF&S including grain storage and merchandising, livestock nutrition, agronomy, lawn & tree care service and bulk water softener salt delivery.
To meet the growing needs of the customers they serve, BF&S has expanded its grain, feed and fertilizer facilities. In the early 60's a feed manufacturing plant was built to produce complete livestock rations for farm delivery. The feed mill's grain needs have been serviced by grain storage and drying facilities that were built and expanded in the late 60's and 70's. In 1999, flat storage for425,000 bu. was built, followed by a 650,000 bu. facility in 2007. A liquid fertilizer mixing plant was developed in 1964 and upgraded in the 80's and 90's to service the agronomy division. The plant is computerized and designed to provide the highest quality fertilizer blends for custom application.
By 1981 Dale's sons, Jeff, Curt and Dean joined him in business. Together they have expanded the services and products available from BF&S. The Bunkers Feed & Supply Inc. mission is to be an innovative agriculture supplier providing the best customer service and agricultural products.
